Philips has announced the release of its new Sonicare 6300 and 7400 electric toothbrushes, featuring next-generation technology aimed at easing the transition from manual brushing.
Philips has introduced two new electric toothbrushes, the Sonicare 6300 equipped with features designed to provide a deep yet gentle clean for dental patients transitioning from manual brushing.
Shared Features Focused on Effective and Comfortable Brushing
Sonicare 6300 includes the Philips Sonicare All-in-One brush head, which the company states can remove up to 20 times more plaque in Clean Mode compared to a manual toothbrush. A visual pressure sensor alerts users when too much pressure is applied, while a 2-minute SmarTimer and Brush Pacer help guide proper brushing duration and technique.
Additional features include a brush head replacement reminder, three brushing intensities (Low, Medium, High), a 21-day battery life, and a travel case for portability.
Sonicare 6300 Aimed at Sensitivity Needs
The Sonicare 6300 is designed for patients with sensitive teeth and gums. It includes two cleaning modes: Clean and Sensitive.
Philips Emphasizes the Importance of Gentle Transition
“Many patients worry that power toothbrushes might be too harsh for their teeth and gums, leading them to stick with manual toothbrushes they believe are ‘good enough.’ However, manual brushing can often miss plaque in hard-to-reach areas or fail to deliver consistent pressure,” said Matina Vidalis, senior marketing director, consumer & professional oral healthcare, Philips Personal Health North America.
“Thoughtfully designed to ease the transition from manual to power brushing, Philips Sonicare 6300 and 7400 offer gentle yet effective care for sensitive teeth and gums. These innovations empower dental professionals not only to elevate their standard of care, but also to confidently guide patients in making the switch, helping them achieve a superior clean and healthier gums with ease.”

Step 1
Start by applying a pea-sized amount of toothpaste.
Step 2

Step 4
Gently glide brush along gumline at a 45-degree angle.
Step 5
Behind teeth, tilt handle semi-upright and make several vertical overlapping brushstrokes on each tooth.
Step 6
Continue to chewing surfaces ,maintaining gliding movement.
Step 7
Remove the brush head from the handle and rinse it thoroughly with warm water, then rinse the entire handle—especially the brush head connection. Gently clean around the rubber seal and allow them to dry.
Step 8
Don’t forget to floss!
Step 9
Replace your brush head every 3 months as recommended by the ADA.
